Description

  • Casement window crank operator for metal framed windows.
  • Gear housing is "Teardrop" shaped.
  • Operator attaches to the metal window frame (facing inside the house). Operator arm extends through a slot in the metal window frame. The round guide button at the end of the operator arm attaches to a track channel on the underside of the window.
  • Window track is not included. This is available in two different installation types and can be found under related products.
  • Included Casement Window Operator Parts:
    • Operator gear housing and arm assembly.
    • Crank handle (5/16" spline).
    • Attachment screws.
  • Dimensions:
    • Overall length of operator gear housing and arm assembly, as shown in photo, is 12".
    • Length of arm is 9" (measured from pivot point to center of round guide button on end of arm).
    • Gear housing measures 5-1/8" by 19/32" tall by approximately 1-3/8" wide.
    • There are two sets of screw holes. Screw hole center-to-center spacing is:
      • Set one: 3-13/16"
      • Set two: 4-11/16"

Some of your hinges are sold by the each and some sell by the pair. What is the difference?

When the unit of measure says “pair” that means two hinges. Usually you need one pair of hinges per door. When the unit of measure says “each” that means one hinge. You would usually order 2 “each” hinges per door.

I want to replace my hinges. How do I make sure the screw holes on the new hinge match the screw holes on the old hinge so I do not have to redrill the holes?

Unfortunately, hinge manufacturers have never standardized the location of their screw hole patterns. Every manufacturer puts their screw holes in a slightly different place. This means that when you replace hinges you will almost certainly have to do some filling and redrilling. The exception to this is Architectural door hinges which are built to a standardized template for each size hinge.
